The New CD is finally under way. It is a collection of songs celebrating the strength of women. This CD comes from personal experience and should be complete for release spring 2012. 

Allistair Elliott, winner of the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards has partnered with the Alberta Cancer Foundation as a Performing Artist to benefit the Patient Financial Assistance Program Endowment Fund.  A vision close to his heart, Allistair is currently working on his new CD filled with an emotional journey through vocals and the smooth jazz of original compositions first showcased and recognized through his sophomore Album ‘Urban Nights’.

The Patient Financial Assistance Program assisted over 650 families last year alone and this project will build a legacy of people helping people.  Allistair Elliott is using this recording to pay tribute to his mother and sister realizing through this journey and healing process there are hundreds of others with similar stories, others who have lost significant pillars of strength in their lives in their fight against the disease. Many patients and families often say that coping with a cancer diagnosis is easier then dealing with the stress of financial worries resulting from their illness.

Allistair Elliott is on a mission to help through concerts and fundraising performances including proceeds from his new CD, to give families a chance to focus on recovery and each other.

We are excited to share that Allistair has won the Wind Instrumentalist of the Year at the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. Allistair performed at the event with his keyboardist and producer, Kristian Alexandrov. Kristian also won the Keyboardist of the Year award.

The Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards are North Americas largest Smooth Jazz Awards. Allistair has just received a double nomination for Instrumentalist of the Year AND Male Vocalist of the Year. This is an incredible recognition for the cd Urban Nights. Voting opens November 12th.
